everyone is hearing about computers being stolen or hacked or some disc lost here, and a hard drive here. but how much do we Not hear about. here is a little list of the chronology of data breaches.
soc.
names.
bank accnts.
you name. they stole it.

my info has been compromised twice in the last 6 months....i hate those letters in the mail "Dear so and so, we are sorry to inform you that there has been a breach in your information. We do not believe that this is a threat to you, however please contact the credit bureaus and place a freud protection on your account...." as if someone taking a disk with all my student loan info or someone hacking my bank is not a threat?
eeks.
makes me want to take all my money and hide it under my mattress at home.
