Glad to see our government trying to crack down on coerciveness. Regardless of who's to blame, Patrick Leahy, D-Vt. has a good point.
Not too many people are going to benefit when gas is $4 a gallon.

oh, and i forgot to quote the article: "He asked Simon what his total compensation was at Exxon, a company that made $40 billion last year. Simon replied it was $12.5 million annually."
Look, I enjoy $4 gasoline about as much as you do. There are a multitude of other things I'd like to do with the $80 it costs to fill up our van these days. However, standing up and saying, "Yeah, I hate those guys, too!" doesn't solve any problems. In fact, it doesn't even really identify the problems -- let alone their solutions.
Let's me 'n you get this thing figured out tomorrow night, huh?
